Netpoint Manager – Plugins – Windows Update Manager

 

Install specific Windows update/updates:

 

  1. Select the clients you want to update (from the “Client explorer” tree).
  2. Choose “Plugins” →  “Windows Updates Manage” → “Select Updates”.
  3. On the “Select Updates” window you can:
    • Install specific update/updates.
    • Filter the updates by their priority (Low/Normal/High).
    • Choose what to do with update – Just download, install(if it downloaded already in the past) or download & install (most common operation).
    • Choose if you the client will restart at the end of the updates installation (if needed) or not.
    • You can see how many clients does not have the update (“Number Of Clients” column of each update.
    • Name, description, priority and the size of the update.
  4. Select the updates you want to install on the clients and press the “Apply” button.

Select “Windows Update” common operation:

With this option you can install a batch of updates without choosing them one by one, but by their priority.

  1. Select the clients you want to update (from the “Client explorer” tree).
  2. Select the operation  – Just download, install(if it downloaded already in the past) or download & install (most common operation).
  3. Select the priority of the updates (Low/Normal/High).
  4. Select whether to restart automatically at the end of updates installation (if needed).
  5. Press the “Apply” button.

 

Found/Display client’s missing update:

 

  1. Open the “Windows Update Manage” tab: “View” → “Windows Update Manage”.
  2. Choose a client from the “Client explorer” tree.
    On the  “Windows Update Manage” you’ll see the client’s missing updates.

 

“Clients” tab section:

In this section (“View” → “Show Clients”) you can see a summary of the client’s missing plugins under the “Windows Update Manage” section.
