Netpoint Manager – Plugin installation

 

Install plugins on the server/console:

 

  1. Open the console and login as “Administrator”.
  2. Go to “View” → ”Show plugin deploy”
  3. On the “Plugin deployment” screen enter the url of the plugin’s directory and press “Enter”

    You’ll get the list of available plugins to install .
  4. “Select clients” windows will open, which let you the option to install the plugins on the clients too.
    For these instruction don’t choose any clients and press “Cancel”

  1. A message box will popup, Choose “Yes” in order to install the plugins only on the server and the console.
  2. At the end of the installation process you’ll see a green arrow on the right corner of the console which means that the plugins installation finished. Press on it and the console application will restart itself.
  3. Open the console again and login as “Administrator”.
  4. Go to “View” → ”Show plugin manage” and make sure that the plugins you chose earlier are showed in the list, which mean they are installed on the server and on the console.

 

Install plugins on the clients

 

  1. Open the console and login as “Administrator”.
  2. Go to “View” → ”Show plugin manage”
  3. On this screen you can see the plugins installed on your server, remove them from the server and deploy/remove them to/from the clients.
  4. In order to deploy/install the plugins to the clients, check the plugin/plugins from the list and press “Add/Remove clients” .
  5. Choose the clients/groups you want to install the plugin on them and press “OK”.
  6. You can check if the plugin installed correctly by choosing the the client from the left clients tree, open the clients page (“View” → ”Show clients”), and see if the plugin status.

 

Remove plugins from clients

 

  1. Open the console and login as “Administrator”.
  2. Go to “View” → ”Show plugin manage”
  3. Check the plugin/plugins you want to remove and press “Add/Remove clients”

  4. Choose the clients/groups (you want to remove the plugin from them) from the “Selected clients” list and press “Remove” to remove them from the “selected clients” list and press OK..

    This operation will remove/uninstall the plugins from the selected clients.
  5. Very important: Restart the agent.
    Choose the client/clients.
    Choose “Tools” → ”Restart agent”.
